What a day-sitting visit looks like
Your sitter arrives on the schedule we agreed to, and works through your pet’s plan: breakfast or dinner measured the way you do it, fresh water, medication if it’s due, a walk or backyard session, litter scooped, and real attention — not a timer running by the door. Visits can be a single check-in or most of the day.
You’ll get a message with photos after the visit. If anything seems off — skipped meal, limp, odd behavior — you hear about it the same hour, and we already have your vet’s number from the intake call.

At your place or ours
Most day sitting happens in your home, because that’s where pets are calmest. But if your dog hates an empty house, we also host day guests at our Knox County space, where someone is around all day and there’s room to play. Tell us which sounds more like your animal.
Need the day to stretch past bedtime? That’s an overnight stay — same sitter, same plan, plus the night shift.
Who does the sitting
Every sitter on our roster went through an interview, references, and a background check before ever meeting a client’s pet. We hire people who already live with animals and know the difference between a dog who wants space and one who wants a lap. Once your pet clicks with a sitter, we send that same person whenever the calendar allows.

Can you do a same-day booking?
Sometimes. Regulars can often get a same-day visit if a sitter is free; for a first booking we need at least one meet-and-greet before we take your keys, so give us a few days’ lead the first time.
What hours can a day sitter come?
Standard visits run during business hours, Monday through Friday. Early mornings, evenings, and weekends can usually be arranged when we plan ahead — ask when you book.
How long is each visit?
As long as your pet needs. Common bookings are 30-minute check-ins, hour visits, and half days. We’ll recommend a length after you tell us about your pet’s routine.
Do I have to give you a key?
You have options: a copy of the key at the meet-and-greet, a garage or door code, or a lockbox on the porch. Keys are labeled with a code, never your address.
