What to expect from an overnight
Your sitter arrives in the evening, handles dinner and any medications, gets in play or a walk, and takes care of the last potty break before lights out. Morning brings breakfast and another round outside before they leave — or they stay on through the day if you’ve booked it.
Since someone’s there anyway, we also do the things that make a house look lived in: mail brought in, plants watered, trash cans out on the right morning, a different lamp on at night. You get photos every day you’re gone.

Staying in their own territory matters
Cats especially, but plenty of dogs too, do their best when nothing changes but the person filling the bowl. Overnights in your home keep the same bed, smells, yard, and routine — which usually means less stress-shedding, fewer skipped meals, and no kennel cough exposure.
If your pet would rather have constant company, our Knox County boarding space is the other option; someone is around all day and your pet has their own safe spot. We’ll be honest about which fit we’d pick for your animal after we meet them.

We’re asking to sleep in your house — we don’t take that lightly. Sitters pass background checks and reference calls before joining, you meet yours in person before any stay, and we coordinate with your veterinarian ahead of time so an emergency never starts with a search for a phone number.

What time does the overnight sitter arrive and leave?
Typically in by early evening and out mid-morning, but the schedule bends to your pet — if dinner is at 5:00 sharp, we’re there before 5:00.
Can you handle multi-day trips?
Yes — a week or two away is common, especially over the holidays. For longer stays we’ll rotate in day visits so your pet gets extra activity, and you’ll still get updates every day.
Will you give my pet their medication?
Yes. Pills, ear drops, insulin injections — walk us through it at the meet-and-greet and it goes in the written care plan the sitter follows.
Is overnight sitting safer than boarding at a kennel?
For most pets it’s calmer: no travel, no strange dogs, no shared air. Boarding wins when a pet truly can’t be alone at all. We offer both, so you’ll get our honest read, not a pitch.
